California State University, the largest four-year public university system in the U.S., needed a faster way to procure construction services for campus repairs and renovations across its 23 campuses. To streamline bidding and reduce the overhead of creating separate campus-specific programs, CSU turned to Gordian and its Job Order Contracting solutions.

Gordian worked with the Chancellor’s Office to launch a CSU Regional Job Order Contracting program, dividing the state into three regions so local contractors could respond quickly to campus needs. With this approach, CSU has completed more than $600 million in construction work through Gordian, supporting projects such as lab remodels, ADA sidewalk updates, roof replacements, and dormitory renovations.
