Yelp - Customer Case Study

The customer Yelp faced the challenge of fostering connections and breaking the ice among over 500 members of its "Elite Squad" from 14 different cities during a large Spring Break event in Las Vegas. Their goal was to build camaraderie both within and between the different city groups, moving beyond typical event formats. To accomplish this, Yelp partnered with the vendor Goosechase to implement a solution.

Goosechase provided a digital scavenger hunt platform that encouraged participants to complete interactive missions across the Las Vegas Strip. This solution successfully prompted widespread mingling and friendly competition, which quickly led to strong new friendships. A significant additional result was the increased brand awareness for Yelp, as participants promoted the brand throughout the city while completing challenges. Both Yelp organizers and participants were highly satisfied, with the vendor Goosechase being confirmed for inclusion in future events.
