Case Study: Datablaze achieves faster development, lower costs and more accurate fleet tracking with Google Maps for Work

A Google For Work Maps Case Study

Preview of the Datablaze Case Study

Datablaze builds GPS tracking and fleet management solutions with Google Maps APIs

Datablaze, a wireless integrator that builds end-to-end GPS vehicle-tracking and fleet-management solutions, was struggling with a TechTrack mapping system that pulled from multiple, inconsistent data sources. Address data was often inaccurate and the platform could track vehicle speed but not the speed limit of the road, preventing reliable speeding alerts for dispatchers.

Datablaze standardized on Google Maps APIs—using the Maps JavaScript API for a map-based dashboard, the Geolocation API for precise vehicle placement, and the Roads API Speed Limits feature to power driver scorecards and speeding alerts—working with partner Thermopylae on deployment. The result: development costs were cut roughly in half, development speed doubled and time to market halved, while customers gained better fleet management, improved service and loyalty, new business opportunities and a path to global expansion.
