Universidad Insurgentes expands Meet classes to 250 participants with Google for Education

Universidad Insurgentes (UIN) faced the challenge of modernizing its very traditional technology infrastructure to improve the student experience and help its largely low-income, working student body reach graduation. To address this, the university partnered with Google for Education, initially adopting Google Workspace and Google Classroom to provide accessible, easy-to-use tools for learning and collaboration.

The solution from Google for Education involved upgrading to Google Workspace for Education Plus. This provided enhanced video conferencing via Google Meet for larger online classes and enabled the use of BigQuery to build a data analytics system for tracking student retention. The results included greater flexibility for students, easier-to-use technology for both students and educators, and the foundational tools needed to analyze and improve student success rates.
