A Google for Education Case Study
Streetly Academy, a secondary school near Birmingham, wanted to improve learning outcomes, strengthen collaboration, and give students and teachers more equal access to digital tools. Working with Google for Education, the school looked for a way to make small, high-impact improvements through technology, including Google Apps for Education and shared access to devices.
Google for Education helped Streetly Academy roll out Google Apps to all teachers and students, add 1:1 Chromebooks for years 10 to 13, and use Google Classroom for assignments and ongoing feedback. The results included a shift toward more collaborative teaching, £60,000 saved in substitute teacher costs in the first year, reduced printing costs, and improved student engagement that helped stem departures from the school.
