Remote learning flourishes at Academies Enterprises Trust after upgrading to Workspace for Education Plus

Academies Enterprise Trust, a multi-school trust serving diverse communities across the UK, needed a scalable way to support teaching, learning, and collaboration across dozens of schools, including many in high-poverty and underperforming areas. When the pandemic forced school closures, the trust turned to Google for Education and its Google Workspace for Education tools to keep staff and students connected remotely.

Google for Education upgraded the trust to Workspace for Education Plus, adding expanded Google Meet features such as recording, livestreaming, breakout rooms, polling, and quizzing. The result was easier remote teaching, the creation of shared “Masterclasses” across the trust, and stronger IT management with better security and reporting. Academies Enterprise Trust can now host meetings with up to 250 participants and livestream to as many as 100,000 people within its domain.
