McGuffey Middle School uses technology to give teachers more freedom in the classroom

McGuffey Middle School, part of a largely low-income rural district, needed a better way to give students access to learning tools beyond limited computer labs and uneven home internet access. With Google for Education, the school began using Chromebooks and Google Workspace for Education, including tools like Google Classroom and Sheets, to support more flexible and personalized learning.

Google for Education helped McGuffey Middle School shift to cloud-based, student-centered instruction, allowing students to work from almost anywhere and teachers to tailor lessons more easily. The district also used the Dynamic Learning Project to strengthen coaching and teacher adoption, leading to more risk-taking, more classroom innovation, and stronger digital citizenship instruction through programs like Be Internet Awesome.
