Kristiansand expands originality reports from 5 to unlimited with Google for Education

Kristiansand, a municipality in Southern Norway, sought to teach its students academic integrity and proper source citation. Their existing learning management system was costly and difficult to use, with plagiarism tools focused on catching offenders after the fact rather than on the educational process. Using Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals and Google Classroom, they faced a limitation on the number of originality reports available.

By upgrading to Google Workspace for Education Plus, the schools gained unlimited access to originality reports. This allowed Google for Education to provide a solution where teachers could use the tool proactively to teach students how to properly cite sources and avoid plagiarism during the writing process. The result is a shift towards feedback-driven learning, equipping students with critical skills for creating original academic work and preparing them for updated national curriculum standards.
