How a unique school is leaving a lasting impression with technology

Koondoola Primary School, a diverse school in Perth with many non-English speaking, Indigenous, and refugee students, needed a better way to support all learners across different abilities and language backgrounds. The school struggled with slow, unreliable laptops and lost classroom time, making it hard to deliver inclusive teaching and ensure every student could engage with learning materials. Google for Education, including Chromebooks and Google Workspace for Education, was used to help address these challenges.

Google for Education helped Koondoola Primary School roll out 1:1 Chromebooks across Grades 1–6 with Chrome Education Upgrade for easy device management, plus Classroom, Docs, Slides, and Sheets to support collaboration and differentiated learning. The result was improved digital literacy, stronger confidence among teachers, and better access for students with diverse needs, including flexible assessment options. The school also gained recognition as one of only five Digitech schools in the state, and its students went on to win local and regional robotics awards.
