Emporia Public Schools saves hours of time by using zero-touch enrollment to provision Chromebooks

Emporia Public Schools, a K–12 district using Google for Education’s Workspace for Education, needed a faster way to provision new Chromebooks. As the district prepared to deploy about 75 devices, its IT team was facing a time-consuming manual process of unboxing, enrolling, configuring, and reboxing each Chromebook, along with ensuring apps like assistive technology tools were installed correctly.

Google for Education helped the district adopt zero-touch enrollment, allowing its technology partner CTL to pre-provision Chromebooks before they arrived. As a result, Emporia Public Schools saved hours of device-enrollment time, avoided manual configuration errors, and freed its IT staff to focus on other important work like hardware maintenance.
