Emporia Public Schools faced a challenge in manually provisioning new Chromebooks, a time-consuming process that diverted its small IT team from other critical projects. The district, a long-time user of Google for Education's Workspace, sought a more efficient way to deploy devices, especially for teacher aides and parents supporting remote learning during the pandemic.

The solution was implementing Google for Education's zero-touch enrollment (ZTE) through their partner CTL. This allowed Chromebooks to be pre-provisioned and automatically enrolled upon startup, eliminating the manual setup process. As a result, Emporia Public Schools saved hours of IT time, which was reallocated to overdue hardware maintenance and other important projects, while also ensuring devices were correctly configured with necessary apps from the start.
