Edmonton Public Schools builds collaborative learning with G Suite for Education

Edmonton Public Schools, a large and innovative district serving 197 schools, 80,000 students, and 10,000 staff, wanted to give staff and students easy-to-use online collaboration tools. Before the project, most students had limited access to technology at school and at home, making it difficult to collaborate, complete assignments online, and work consistently across different devices and operating systems. Google for Education was selected to help solve these challenges, using Google Apps for Education.

Google for Education implemented Google Apps for Education district-wide, following a pilot and phased rollout across EPS. The solution improved collaboration, made it easier for students to work from almost anywhere, reduced paper use, and helped teachers track homework and assignments more effectively. EPS reported higher student engagement and homework completion, faster feedback cycles, and stronger collaboration among students and teachers, with broad adoption across staff and students.
