Carroll School helps students overcome learning disabilities with Google for Education

Carroll School, a private school in Lincoln and Waltham, Massachusetts, needed a better way to support students with language-based disabilities like dyslexia. Its aging Windows devices were slow, difficult for students to use, and time-consuming for IT to manage, making it hard to provide accessible, intuitive technology in the classroom. Google for Education was brought in as the vendor, with touchscreen Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education among the tools considered to address these challenges.

Google for Education implemented Google Apps for Education, Google Classroom, and touchscreen Chromebooks across the school to improve learning and simplify management. The result was easier reading, writing, collaboration, and real-time feedback for students, along with lower maintenance costs and less IT burden; help desk tickets dropped by about one-third, and Carroll School was able to deploy 200 Chromebooks in three days without extra help.
