Brown University uses Google Workspace to help build a community of independent thinkers on campus – and beyond

Brown University, a private Ivy League research university, needed a technology platform that could better support its collaborative campus culture while reducing the burden and expense of maintaining on-premises infrastructure. The university turned to Google for Education and Google Workspace to help students, faculty, and staff work more effectively using the same set of tools.

Google for Education implemented Google Workspace for Education, including Docs, Drive, Groups, Assignments, and Meet Chat, to simplify sharing, improve communication, and streamline assignment management. The result was faster collaboration, easier secure access to documents, stronger cross-campus communication, and a more connected community; while the case study does not provide hard metrics, Brown reported that Google tools increased workflow speed, improved teaching collaboration, and transformed internal support communication.
