Wix, the global cloud-based web development platform for more than 210 million users, needed an infrastructure that could support high performance worldwide while helping its developers build and operate new products more efficiently. Using Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Compute Engine, and Google Kubernetes Engine, Wix set out to improve scalability, reliability, and visibility across its massive global environment.

Google Cloud Platform helped Wix modernize its backend by moving from virtual machines to containers in GKE and powering its Velo serverless development platform with GKE and Filestore. The result was less management overhead, faster troubleshooting with Network Intelligence Center, and the ability to serve tens of millions of requests per day with consistently strong performance around the world.
