Wirex, a London-based digital money app and regulated crypto institution, needed a better way to help customers understand transaction details that were often unclear, leading to frequent support queries. To solve this, Wirex worked with Google Cloud Platform through Snowdrop Solutions’ Merchant Reconciliation System (MRS) API, using Google Maps Platform enriched transaction data.

Google Cloud Platform helped Wirex add merchant names, categories, logos, and location/map details to transaction histories, making purchases easier to recognize and fraud easier to spot. The result was a 50% reduction in transaction-related customer service calls, plus stronger customer trust, improved transparency, and support for Wirex’s expansion from 3 million to 6 million customers across new regions.
