A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Veolia, a Paris-based provider of water, waste and energy management serving millions worldwide, faced a collaboration bottleneck: a patchwork of 250 productivity tools that hindered its 170,000-strong global workforce and placed a heavy burden on IT. The company needed a secure, anytime-anywhere solution to unify tools and enable remote, cross-border collaboration.
Veolia replaced the fragmented toolset with G Suite, Chromebooks with Chrome Enterprise, and Hangouts Meet, migrating 100% of files to Google Drive and equipping 1,200 corporate users with Chromebooks. The shift reduced IT infrastructure management time, eliminated endpoint security software, improved videoconferencing to about 80,000 Hangouts per month, and created a more connected, collaborative global workforce.
