Valora Building a unified sales platform with Google Cloud Platform

Valora, a Swiss-born convenience and food-service group with about 2,800 outlets across Europe, faced fragmented sales communication after rapid growth and acquisitions. The company relied on seven separate apps and inconsistent processes, which created silos, lost information and no standard way to coordinate thousands of points of sale.

Working with Google Cloud Platform, G Suite and partner Wabion, Valora built a web-based, Firebase-backed platform called VAPOS that consolidated seven apps into one standardized sales and communication system with templated messaging, Drive-based file storage and access controls. Deployed via agile sprints, the scalable solution minimized hardware changes and training, reduced IT operating costs, and has been rolled out to 1,100 Swiss stores while improving structure, usability and collaboration across the business.
