userwerk, a German point-of-purchase marketing startup for online shops, needed a fast, scalable, and highly available platform to launch its Spryker Commerce OS microshop and handle unpredictable traffic spikes while keeping customer interactions under 800 ms. To meet those requirements, userwerk worked with Google Cloud Platform, alongside implementation partner Claranet, to build a containerized infrastructure on Google Cloud using Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud DNS.

Google Cloud Platform helped userwerk go from zero to serving customers online in just 10 weeks, and the company reached five-figure monthly order volume four months later. The solution delivered 99.993% uptime, around 15 ms response times, and support for multiple deployments per day, while handling traffic surges without issues and helping keep conversion rates strong.
