UP42 is a developer platform and marketplace for Earth observation data and analytics that helps customers solve problems such as glacier erosion and oil leak detection. As its geospatial data library and AI offerings grew, UP42 needed virtually unlimited computing power and a way to manage complex workflows and partner revenue sharing at planet scale. Looker was part of the vendor stack used alongside Google Cloud to help address these challenges.

Looker helped UP42 build partner-facing dashboards that track data usage and split revenue based on intellectual property ownership. Combined with Google Cloud infrastructure, the solution enabled UP42 to process massive geospatial workloads quickly, including 350 jobs, 870 virtual cores, and 6 terabytes of SAR data in under one hour. This improved scalability and gave partners clear visibility into usage and revenue breakdowns.
