Unleashing ecommerce energy across India with Google Kubernetes Engine

ONDC, India’s open commerce network, needed a way to make ecommerce transactions and seller discovery work smoothly across a vast and geographically diverse market. With help from Google Cloud Platform, including Google Maps Platform, ONDC aimed to better identify seller locations, support network participants, and improve commerce access even in remote regions.

Google Cloud Platform implemented Google Maps Platform products such as Geocoding API to capture and validate seller GPS coordinates and relay them through the ONDC gateway for more accurate buyer-seller matching. The solution also supports nearby business discovery, route planning, delivery management, and location-based promotions, helping ONDC improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase sales across its network.
