Case Study: UGPP achieves faster, more efficient data management with Looker

UGPP provides more agile services to citizens with the support of Google Cloud

UGPP, Colombia’s Social Security Management Unit, needed to digitize and automate its procedures, improve data access and analysis, and deliver a better experience for citizens while maintaining strong security. To do this, the agency worked with Looker as part of a broader Google Cloud modernization effort to unlock faster, more reliable information handling and support better internal coordination.

Looker and other Google Cloud tools helped UGPP move data processes to the cloud, replacing slow on-premises workflows and enabling quicker analytics and self-service access to information. The results included data loading times dropping from 72 hours to just minutes, reduced infrastructure costs, automated internal and public-facing processes, improved employee productivity, and 99.7% availability for data services.
