Case Study: Treeptik speeds Java EE deployments and cuts admin costs 30% with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Treeptik Case Study

Treeptik lets developers deploy Java Enterprise Edition apps in the cloud in minutes using Google Cloud Platform

Treeptik, a French IT consultancy specializing in Java EE, launched CloudUnit, a PaaS to migrate and deploy Java applications to the cloud without code changes. The company needed a scalable, secure hosting environment that could automate creation of dev/test/prod instances on demand, support public or private clouds and multiple Linux distributions, and cut time and costs for customers and internal teams.

Treeptik built CloudUnit on Google Compute Engine using Docker containers, Kubernetes for orchestration, and REST APIs for fast provisioning. The solution lets developers deploy Java EE apps in minutes, supports CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu, provides VPN-secured access and monitoring, and enabled self-service provisioning. As a result, CloudUnit reduced administrative costs by about 30% and substantially accelerated project implementation and lifecycle efficiency.
