Sanity is a content infrastructure platform that helps developers and content teams deliver structured content across websites, apps, and other digital products. As its global customer base and real-time editorial workflows grew, Sanity needed a hosted, scalable platform with worldwide reach to keep content fast, reliable, and easy to distribute. It chose Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine to support that challenge.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a cloud architecture using Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud CDN, Cloud Load Balancing, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery to power Sanity’s global content delivery and operations. The result was smoother scaling during traffic spikes, reliable low-latency content delivery worldwide, and highly available services managed by just two site reliability engineers. Sanity also reported that Google Kubernetes Engine saved them “plenty of headaches around scalability” and allowed them to handle sudden traffic surges without downtime.
