A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the Monterrey Government Case Study

The Monterrey Government digitalizes citizen services for better management

The Monterrey Government, which manages local public services in Monterrey, Mexico, faced tight budgets and the need to modernize citizen services without fully replacing its existing infrastructure. Working with Google Cloud Platform and partner Xertica, it sought a hybrid cloud approach that could improve interoperability, security, and scalability for municipal digital transformation.

Google Cloud Platform helped the Monterrey Government transition to a hybrid model and roll out services such as a citizen participation platform, content management, and a single digital window. The results included no disruption to the participatory budget platform, a quadrupling of participation, faster queries with AlloyDB, freed storage through Cloud Storage, and better cost and resource optimization through Cloud Monitoring, while support and automation reduced infrastructure effort.
