The Masmovil Group Uniting multiple IT systems via Google Cloud

The Masmovil Group, a fast-growing Spanish telecom provider, needed to consolidate the legacy IT systems from multiple acquisitions into a single cloud environment. Working with Google Cloud Platform, the company set out to unify data and operations across CRMs, billing, call centers, ticketing, and network systems while improving scalability, agility, and sustainability.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a cloud-native architecture using services such as Kubernetes, Istio, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Firestore, Cloud SQL, and Google Kubernetes Engine to support integration, analytics, and machine learning. The results included more than 22 systems integrated into one environment, over 200 production deployments per week, more than 50,000 events per second on 20,000+ pods, a 90% latency reduction, and a smaller carbon footprint.
