TeamSpace Farm is a startup focused on using data and machine learning to improve farming, but it faced the challenge of building a full agricultural IT workflow with limited manpower and resources. Using Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Vertex AI, Google Compute Engine, and Coral hardware, the company created a connected sensor-to-cloud system for its smart farming service.

Google Cloud Platform helped TeamSpace Farm build an integrated solution that processes sensor data on-device with GPU/TPU support, sends key data to BigQuery for storage and analysis, and trains and deploys machine learning models through Vertex AI. The result was faster, more accurate field responses, lower data processing and storage overhead, and a scalable precision agriculture platform now used in tomato and medical hemp fields, with crop-specific models created in weeks.
