A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
SulAmérica, Brazil’s largest independent multi-line insurer, was constrained by 15-year-old mainframe and Unix systems that were difficult to update, prone to outages, and slowed customer-facing innovation—eroding its competitive advantage and delaying important product and process changes.
Working with partner CI&T, SulAmérica modernized by migrating its web front end and key components to Google Cloud Platform using a PaaS approach and Agile delivery, while integrating with on‑premise legacy systems. The move cut IT costs by about 80%, virtually eliminated service disruptions, shortened major change cycles from 6–9 months to days or weeks, and freed people and budget to drive further customer-focused innovation.
