Spendee is a Czech fintech app used by roughly 200,000 monthly active users that helps people track and analyze their spending. After spinning out from its original startup, the company needed to replace hosted servers with an infrastructure that could securely handle global growth—especially after adding bank‑account linking—so scalability, security, and reliability became top priorities.

Working with Google Cloud Premier Partner Revolgy, Spendee completed a rapid “lift-and-shift plus” migration to Google Cloud Platform using Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Deployment Manager, Stackdriver, Load Balancing and Cloud IAM. The move delivered granular security controls, built‑in replication and backups, and easier operations, freeing the IT team to focus on product work while giving the company confidence to scale worldwide and explore analytics and containerization next.
