A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Sleekr, founded in 2015, provides integrated payroll, HR, and accounting software to thousands of businesses in Indonesia (covering ~100,000 employees). Facing rising payroll complexity and a hosted-cloud setup that forced its IT team to spend more than 50% of their time on routine infrastructure tasks and weekly deployments, Sleekr needed a way to cut costs, speed time to market, and free engineers to focus on customer-facing work.
Sleekr moved to Google Cloud Platform—centered on Kubernetes Engine plus Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Load Balancing, Container Registry, Memorystore, and Cloud Storage—adopting containers and CI/CD with on-demand staging. The change democratized deployments, enabled product teams to push releases, and improved scalability; costs fell more than 30%, deployment times dropped by about 80 (from weekly to multiple times per day), and infrastructure management time fell from 50% to 10%, supporting faster feature delivery for thousands of customers.
