Site Reliability Engineering helps New York City Cyber Command secure the city that never sleeps

NYC Cyber Command, also known as NYC3, needed to keep its critical city security systems running 24/7 while ensuring its internal threat-management system, Juggernaut, could reliably process real-time cybersecurity data from many sources. Working with Google Cloud Platform and its Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model, NYC Cyber Command focused on improving cloud operations, reducing outages, and building user confidence with measurable performance data.

Google Cloud Platform helped NYC Cyber Command apply SRE practices to Juggernaut and other core systems, strengthening reliability, supportability, and cross-team coordination. The results included fewer production incidents, less data loss, and better data quality delivered to users, while also making it easier to onboard third-party applications and operate development, operations, and networking as a single unit.
