ShareChat, a fast-growing social platform serving regional content to millions of users, needed to migrate a massive data environment without disrupting service or causing latency issues. To manage its scale and performance demands, it worked with Looker on analytics and cloud reporting capabilities as part of its broader Google Cloud stack, while facing the challenge of moving more than 70 terabytes of data and handling over one million queries per second.

Looker helped ShareChat gain clearer visibility into data and performance as the company completed a big-bang migration with zero downtime. The move enabled ShareChat to improve app performance, simplify development and DevOps, and support real-time experiences; the migration itself moved more than 60 million users in five hours with no data loss or downtime, and the platform has since grown to 160 million users.
