Senex, an Australian natural gas producer, needed a way to unify operational and enterprise data, improve real-time insights, and better optimize gas well production as it scaled. Working with Google Cloud Platform and its partner Servian, Senex also wanted stronger data and machine learning capabilities to support a more efficient, low-carbon operation.

Google Cloud Platform helped Senex build a data lake on BigQuery and use tools like Document AI, Cloud Vision AI, and TensorFlow for near-real-time analytics, OCR, and predictive maintenance. The results included predicting pump failures 4x faster, processing 2.67 TB of data daily, cutting analysis time to under four minutes, and generating potential financial benefits of up to $60 million over five years.
