Case Study: SelectMedia achieves scalable, low-latency video delivery and operational focus with Google Cloud Platform

A Google Cloud Platform Case Study

Preview of the SelectMedia Case Study

SelectMedia building a better video platform with Google

SelectMedia is an Israeli ad‑tech startup (founded 2012) that operates a “Meta Supply‑Side Platform” delivering large‑scale, verified video inventory to advertisers and publishers across 55 countries. Its challenge was handling volatile, low‑latency video ad traffic (10,000–60,000 requests per second) while operating with a small team and limited DevOps resources so engineers could focus on product and algorithms.

SelectMedia built its platform on Google Cloud Platform — using Google App Engine for fast autoscaling, Cloud Load Balancing and Cloud CDN for smooth delivery of large video files, BigQuery for analytics, and Compute Engine for peripheral environments — with guidance from DoiT International. The result is a robust, easy‑to‑manage infrastructure that scales quickly, ensures reliable low‑latency delivery, and frees R&D to add customer value instead of managing operations.
