ImmobilienScout24, Germany’s largest online real estate marketplace, needed a more intuitive way to help millions of users quickly understand property locations, nearby amenities, and commute times—especially as most sessions came from mobile devices. It turned to Google Cloud Platform’s Google Maps Platform to improve the search and listing experience while also giving its engineers easier tools to build new location-based features faster.

Google Cloud Platform implemented Google Maps Platform features including static and dynamic maps, Street View, Satellite View, Places API, Routes and Distance Matrix APIs, and Geocoding API. The result was a faster, more user-friendly property search experience used by 22.8 million users per month, with features like drive-time search built in about a week and launched in one month, plus positive Android app reviews and quicker time-to-market for new innovations.
