Sandbox VR Inventing the future of VR gaming experiences with multi-cluster dynamism

Sandbox VR, a rapidly growing virtual reality gaming company, needed a robust cloud infrastructure to support bookings, video management, and VR machine monitoring with a lean DevOps team. As its global footprint expanded, it also needed a stronger data warehouse for website A/B testing and deeper audience insight. Sandbox VR chose Google Cloud Platform, using services including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and BigQuery.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a multi-cluster microservices architecture with GKE, Multi Cluster Ingress, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery to improve availability, automate monitoring, and centralize data analysis. The results included zero downtime for its VR platform, support for a four times increase in weekend website traffic, and a more AI-driven fan engagement strategy, while automating monitoring for at least 40 machines per store and freeing the team to focus on product innovation.
