RetailTune, an Italian startup, helps retail brands connect with local shoppers through personalized online and offline shopping experiences, but it needed a better way to drive store visits and manage location-specific customer engagement. Working with Google Cloud Platform and Google Maps Platform, RetailTune used geolocation and real-time location data to help retailers improve their online presence, offer personalized store information, and guide customers to the nearest locations.

Google Cloud Platform’s Maps APIs, including Directions API, Distance Matrix API, Places API, and Google My Business integration, enabled RetailTune to deliver more accurate store details, directions, and local offers. The results included a 70% boost in the ability to reach local shoppers, a 100% year-over-year increase in local Google searches leading to store visits, support for safer COVID-era shopping updates, and expansion into international markets.
