Reposit Power, an Australian distributed-energy company, needed a scalable big data platform to process millions of energy data points per hour and support its “No Bill” solar offering. As demand grew, its rented servers became slow to provision, prone to outages, and too limited for the startup’s growth, so Reposit turned to Google Cloud Platform and services including Cloud Bigtable, Compute Engine, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions.

Google Cloud Platform helped Reposit complete an 18-month zero-downtime migration, modernize its data pipelines, and secure sensitive customer and IP data with built-in encryption. The results were significant: incident alerts fell from one per day to one every few weeks, the company scaled to 10 times more solar devices with one-third of its previous DevOps team, and it gained the reliability and confidence to expand its “No Bill” service.
