Quandoo A recipe for restaurant success using data-driven insights

Quandoo, an open marketplace for restaurant reservations and dining experiences, needed to solve speed and scalability challenges as it expanded to 12 countries and 17,000 restaurants. Its legacy platform and separate analytics/data-mining tools were becoming costly and hard to manage, making it harder to keep up with growing traffic and customer-behavior insights. Looker was not the vendor in the case study; the solution centered on Google Cloud, with support from partner Endocode.

Google Cloud and Endocode helped Quandoo migrate and consolidate its environment using BigQuery and Google Kubernetes Engine, along with Terraform, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud VPN, and Cloud Key Management to streamline DevOps and improve security and cost control. The result was better performance, lower data-warehousing and digital spend, faster development and deployment, improved collaboration across global teams, and increased ROI.
