A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
Priori Data, a Berlin-based startup founded in 2013, provides competitive intelligence on mobile app downloads and revenue. As a five-person team it outgrew its non-cloud SQL system—facing high hosting costs, limited scalability and slow queries that prevented comprehensive historical and global analysis.
Priori Data moved to Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL and Pub/Sub) to gain cost-effective, scalable storage, fast analytics and easier data sharing. Queries that took hours now run in minutes; the team processes about 150 billion objects (~100 TB) biweekly across 58 countries using 28 compute instances without a dedicated sysadmin, enabling the small company to expand markets and compete in the big-data space.
