Portal Telemedicina leverages Google Cloud to provide remote diagnosis platform

Portal Telemedicina, a Brazil-based digital healthcare company serving clinics across underserved regions, needed a way to handle fragmented medical device data, scale diagnostics, and securely deliver fast online diagnoses. Using Google Cloud Platform products such as Google Cloud, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, TensorFlow, and Google Kubernetes Engine, the company aimed to overcome processing bottlenecks and improve AI-assisted healthcare delivery.

Google Cloud Platform helped Portal Telemedicina build a cloud gateway for device data, a scalable data lake, and AI models for triage and diagnostic prediction. The results were significant: prediction accuracy rose from 65% to 95%, 500,000 exam diagnostics could be processed in about 2 seconds, and deployment time dropped from 2 weeks to 30 minutes, while secure HIPAA-aligned infrastructure supported expansion to more than 280 cities.
