Peckish, an Amsterdam-based Dutch start-up, wanted to use AI to optimize restaurant supply chain and inventory management, with the goal of reducing food waste and making operations more efficient. To build its platform, Peckish chose Google Cloud Platform, using services such as Vertex AI and Cloud Run to develop prediction models and integrate data streams.

Google Cloud Platform helped Peckish accelerate development with managed services and automated model training, while also improving scalability and third-party integration. The results included restaurant overheads estimated to be 10 times lower and inventory time cut from 20 hours to 2, supporting Peckish’s ambition to reduce food waste by up to 50%.
