PaGaLGuY turns to Google Cloud to power leading India education network

PaGaLGuY is one of India’s largest online education networks, serving about 1.5 million page views per day via web and mobile apps. Facing frequent exam-driven traffic spikes that made the site inaccessible for up to an hour and average API latency of ~1 second, the company needed a scalable, low‑overhead platform that could capture student data for personalised experiences and fast analytics.

Working with Searce, PaGaLGuY migrated to Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Dataflow and Cloud Storage), refactored its monolith into microservices, and automated operations. The result: the site now comfortably handles spikes from ~90 to ~1,200 requests/second, API latency dropped to ~40 ms, system administration fell from 3–4 days/week to about 30 minutes every two weeks, and the team scaled user personalisation and analytics without adding engineers.
