Oway, a ride-hailing and travel company in Myanmar, needed to control cloud costs, better match infrastructure to changing demand, and gain real-time visibility into operations. To address these challenges, the company moved its ride-hailing platform to Google Cloud Platform, using services like Cloud SQL and Google Analytics to combine offline and online data for smarter business decisions.

Google Cloud Platform implemented a cloud migration and analytics foundation that supported real-time analytics, predictive demand modeling, and more accurate mapping through Google Maps Platform APIs and SDKs. As a result, Oway gained faster decision-making, improved customer experience, and cost efficiencies; today, 50% of its workload runs on Google Cloud Platform, and it plans to continue modernizing on Google Kubernetes Engine.
