Oviva, a healthcare provider, struggled to modernize its infrastructure because data protection rules in Germany and France forced it to keep part of its systems on-premises, leaving its architecture split across three environments and creating reliability and management challenges. Google Cloud Platform, through Google Kubernetes Engine and the T-Systems Sovereign Cloud powered by Google Cloud, offered the scalable, compliant foundation Oviva needed.

Google Cloud Platform helped Oviva migrate its remaining systems to a unified cloud setup while meeting sovereignty requirements through European-based controls and encryption management. As a result, Oviva improved team productivity, cut the time needed to make changes to about one-third of what it took before, eliminated the need to maintain duplicate systems, and went 18 months without a major interruption after migration.
