Organizing and streamlining complex data effectively with AI

Pupuk Indonesia, one of Asia’s largest fertilizer producers, needed a better way to extract and organize data from complex documents with watermarks, images, and other visual elements. Its existing OCR tools could not process these files accurately or efficiently, so the company partnered with Google Cloud Platform, working with Devoteam, to improve document processing and streamline HR and administrative workflows.

Google Cloud Platform helped implement a solution using Vision AI and Gemini that reads, cleans, and automatically organizes document content based on spatial data. The result cut extraction time from 5–10 minutes to 40–70 seconds, improved accuracy without extensive training or fine-tuning, reduced the need for manual validation to a single employee, and delivered significant productivity and cost savings for Pupuk Indonesia.
