Orange Putting the edge in cutting-edge connectivity services with Google Cloud

Orange, one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators, needed to deliver new edge and 5G services that met customer demands for low latency, high security, and strong data privacy across its B2B, B2C, and wholesale markets. Working with Google Cloud Platform and Anthos, Orange launched an innovation lab to test and develop edge computing use cases closer to users and on its network.

Google Cloud Platform helped Orange deploy the Edge Computing Lab, onboard ISVs, and quickly launch proofs of concept on customer and network edge infrastructure. The results included proof-of-concept deployments in under 10 days, latency targeted below 10 milliseconds, and a one-third reduction in deployment time thanks to automation features, improving efficiency and accelerating innovation.
