Orange España, part of Orange, needed a better way to connect APIs with developers and end customers as it pushed forward with digital transformation in telecommunications. The company was looking for an API management solution with broader capabilities than its existing gateway, and it chose Google Cloud Platform’s Apigee API management platform to help manage and expose its services.

Google Cloud Platform implemented Apigee and its developer portal to streamline API deployment, improve partner access, and standardize documentation and governance. The results included reducing API publication from days to minutes, achieving 90% compliance with TM Forum telco API standards, and serving about 30 million requests per day through Apigee, while also enabling significant cost reductions.
