A Google Cloud Platform Case Study
On Center Software, headquartered near Houston, provides pre-construction software and training to contractors in more than 60 countries. To support mobile field workflows, improve collaboration and bidding accuracy, and deliver updates more frequently, the company needed a mature cloud platform that offered high performance, availability, scalability and enterprise-grade security for its Oasis Platform.
On Center migrated Oasis to Google Cloud Platform, adopting a microservices architecture on Google Kubernetes Engine and using Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Stackdriver monitoring and G Suite. The move enabled CI/CD and automatic scaling, cut CapEx and OpEx, saved over 80 staff-hours per week, sped feature delivery up to six times (from twice-yearly to monthly client updates), and improved performance, availability, security and customer mobile access.
