omni:us A cloud AI pipeline brings order to insurance claim processing

omni:us, a Berlin-based insurance technology firm, needed a way to tame the flood of unstructured claims paperwork and automate processing for insurers. Using Google Cloud Platform’s cloud-assisted AI environment, including Google Kubernetes Engine, Container Registry, Cloud Storage, and Cloud IAM, the company built a hybrid on-premises/cloud pipeline to classify documents, extract data, and support strict GDPR privacy requirements.

With Google Cloud Platform, omni:us reduced AI pipeline deployment time from two days to four hours and helped insurers move toward settling claims in minutes instead of weeks. The platform also improved engineering productivity, supported nearly 30 pilot clients across Europe and the U.S., and enabled secure multi-customer data handling with stronger isolation and role-based access controls.
